Service Authorization and Consent
Emergency Policy:
You agree to entrust your pet to Ginger Paws LLC for the purpose of grooming. In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Ginger Paws LLC to seek medical treatment for your pet as necessary at your expense.
Disclosure Policy:
You have disclosed any medical, behavioral or other conditions that may limit your pet's ability to be groomed by Ginger Paws LLC. You agree to continue to disclose any changes as they arise.
Senior and Underlying Health Conditions Policy:
Senior pets and pets with underlying health conditions will be groomed at the owner's risk. Owner is aware that the process of grooming may be stressful, both physically and mentally. The stress of grooming may cause latent, active or inactive conditions including but not limited to: arthritis, bone, joint, surgical sites, heart, kidney, or liver disorders to become active and can result in illness, seizures, or the death of the pet. Owner acknowledges that the stress of grooming may initiate immediate or latent medical problems in your pet. Owner agrees Ginger Paws LLC will not be liable for active, inactive, known or unknown conditions that arise.
Moles, Skin Lesions, Tumors and Skin Irregularities Policy:
While rare, skin irregularities that protrude from the skin are vulnerable to nicks or cuts during the grooming process. Owner agrees Ginger Paws LLC is not liable for such incidents.
Ear Hair Removal and Anal Gland Expression Policy:
Ginger Paws LLC requests written approval from your pet's licensed veterinarian to perform these services. Ginger Paws LLC will not be held liable for any irritations caused by such services.
Matted Pet Policy:
Matted coats can cause a variety of skin & health problems. Matted fur does not allow for proper air circulation to the skin, causing potential hot spots, bacterial or fungal infections. Fleas, ticks, maggots and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin infections. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet. The skin underneath is often raw and inflamed. Ear hematomas may happen when ears are severely matted, causing reduced blood flow to the ears. Removing mats can cause a quick rush of blood into vessels surrounded by weakened tissue which then causes these vessels to bleed. Ginger Paws LLC cannot be held liable for clipper burn, minor nicks or ear hematomas resulting from grooming of a neglected and matted coat.
Vaccination Policy:
Your pet must be current on their Rabies Vaccination as required by law. In the event your pet has had an adverse reaction to the Rabies vaccine, proof of exemption from your pet's veterinarian will be accepted. Ginger Paws LLC recommends pets be up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and K9 Influenza, but this is at the owner's discretion.
Flea Policy:
Ginger Paws LLC recommends all pets be current on flea and tick preventatives. In the event your pet has fleas or ticks, whether up to date on treatment or not, there will be a minimum $30+ charge per pet added to your total bill. This fee allows the use of additional products to kill any fleas, ticks, eggs or larvae on your pet, as well as the additional time it takes to thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces to ensure no other clients are infected. Ginger Paws LLC cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions to such products.
No-Shows, Unable to Service and Cancellation Policy:
An appointment is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available, did not answer the door, or did not arrive within 10 minutes of Ginger Paws LLC's arrival- incurring a fee of 50% of the scheduled service. Services may be stopped mid groom if deemed necessary for either the pet or groomer's safety. If Ginger Paws LLC is unable to service your pet due to aggression or health, the appointment will be cancelled at the discretion of the groomer- incurring a fee of 50% of the scheduled service OR a charge for services rendered, whichever is greater. Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours notice will not have any fees. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice cause severe conflict in scheduling and loss in income for both the business and groomer- incurring a fee of 50% of the scheduled service. Such fees must be paid prior to rescheduling, choosing to not pay will result in removal from Ginger Paws LLC's client list.
Payment Policy:
Payment is due at the time of service. Payment can be made cash, Apple Cash, Zelle or Venmo. Prices are based on breed of pet, size, behavior, condition of skin and coat and services requested. Rates given prior to grooming are quotes and can go up based on these factors at the groomer's discretion. If payment is not received at the time of service completion there will be a $20 per day late fee added to the total bill, with the first fee initiating at 8:00pm the day of service.
Refund Policy:
Ginger Paws LLC does not offer refunds.
Post Groom Concerns Policy:
Any concerns, whether medical or regarding your pet's groom must be brought to Ginger Paws LLC's attention within 48 hours of services rendered. Thus, we can come to a resolution quickly. Any concerns brought to our attention 48 hours or more post groom will be void. Please contact your veterinarian immediately if your pet is having any medical issues.
Photo Policy:
Ginger Paws LLC may take before and after pictures of pets. Such photos may be kept in your personal client file, used on social media platforms and for marketing purposes.
Appointment Agreement Policy:
In the event we run out of water, or the generator is getting serviced, Ginger Paws LLC may need to use your water and/or connect to shore power. Please ensure there is parking available the day of your appointment. The grooming van needs a relatively flat space to park. Ginger Paws LLC does not park on main or busy streets. If you live on a busy street we can park in your driveway. If your driveway is sloped AND you live on a busy street, we will park around the corner and either come to retrieve your pet or you can meet us. For smaller neighborhoods, please don't schedule grooming the same day and time as trash or landscape day unless you can guarantee parking. Ginger Paws LLC will need prior approval from HOA or management for any apartment complexes, condominiums, or strict gated communities, etc. Occasionally these establishments consider performing business services as soliciting, so please reach out to any authority or have that information on hand for us to do so prior to your appointment.
