Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule?
Scheduling can be done by filling out a New Client Form on the main 'About' page. Once I have obtained all of your and your pet's current information, I can provide price quotes and availability in your area. You may also call, text, email or message on Facebook or Instagram and I will send a link to the New Client Form.

How long does it take to return an inquiry for an appt, whether done via text, email, social media, phone call, or New Client Form?
Please allow up to 3 business days (Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri) for a response. I will get in touch as soon as I can. Often times I am either driving, grooming, or spending time with my family, so I do my best to return inquiries in a timely manner. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Why do you not give arrival windows when booking?
Scheduling is done by booking a day until full, once the day is full, I can provide a 1-hour arrival window 2 days before the appt. This way I can optimize routing based on the best milage between homes. This in turn saves both gas and time, allowing me to groom more dogs in a day.

What if I need an arrival window at the time of booking?
Clients that need an arrival window at the time of booking, or those that must be home to hand off their pet, can book for the first appointment the day. This is a 7:30am-7:45am arrival window. All other appointments will be routed based on the first appointment's location.

Do you offer latch key?
Yes! In fact, I highly recommend it! This way I can come and go without disrupting your workday or other plans. You may provide a physical key, door code, alarm code, garage door opener, or provide the location of your Hide-a-Key. Please ensure your pet is in a location I can easily retrieve them from. Please close all bedroom doors to prevent them from going under the beds, place them in their kennels, in a laundry room, or a secured area where they will not sneak past me as I come in. Disclaimer: not all pets are a good fit for latch key. Often times dogs that are aggressive need to be handed off as I cannot safely retrieve them myself.

Can I watch my pet get groomed?
In short, no. This is for the safety and wellbeing of both your pet and me. When your pet sees you, they want to jump off the table to get to you. They do everything they can to see Mom or Dad, constantly looking around my shoulder and moving. This poses a high risk of accidental injury by any of my sharp equipment. I need your pet's attention and focus 100% on me throughout the service. If you have any concerns about the grooming process, I would love to go over that with you at the time of scheduling to help ease your apprehensions.

Can I see the van?
Of course, I love showing clients where their baby will be. I find it also helps those who are nervous to leave their pet with a new groomer for the first time.

How much does mobile grooming cost?
Pricing is based on each individual pet's needs, as well as desired services and how long it takes to perform those services. Small bath dogs start at $80, small haircuts start at $120. Please see the 'Services' tab for better estimates.

Why does mobile cost so much?
Each groomer's prices will be different. Prices are based on my experience, skill, continued education, products used, and what I need to charge in order to continue running a business and maintain my personal expenses. Please keep in mind in a salon setting I can groom 8-10 dogs in a day, while in the van I can only groom 4-5.

How long does it take?
This can vary greatly. On average, most small dogs take 1-1.5 hours. Large dogs take 1.5-2hours, but longer haircuts or matted coats can take up to 3+ hours.

Do you offer multi pet discounts?
At this time, I do not offer multi pet discounts. The amount of work put into each individual pet is the same, whether the first or fourth pet.

How often should my pet be groomed?
For breeds that shed, I encourage monthly visits to limit the amount hair you find around the house. Haircut dogs getting under 1/2 inch in length, I recommend grooming every 4-8 weeks. Pets getting 1/2 inch - 1 inch in length I recommend grooming every 2-6 weeks. Pets over 1 inch should be groomed every 1-4 weeks.

You groom my friend's dog, why do you charge them less?
Many factors play into this; breed, size, weight, services requested, condition of coat and pet's behavior will all affect the price. I also have a handful of long-term clients that are receiving a discounted rate.

What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, Zelle, Venmo and Apple Cash.

How long have you been grooming?
I have been grooming since 2014.

Do you know how to groom "such and such" breed?
There are very few rare breeds I have not had the pleasure of grooming. Odds are, I know the breed standard groom for your pet. If you have a breed I have not groomed before, I am more than happy to research that breed and learn how to achieve the breed standard groom if desired.

Can you dye my pet?
Pet safe dye is offered beginning the second appointment and must be requested weeks in advance so I can ensure I have the colors and products you are looking for. I do not offer dye the first appointment.
